Tsovak Hyusiso is a large lake in Armenian Highland. It is known today by its Turkish name, Lake Cildir, and is located in the province of Ardahan. It has an area of 123 square kilometers, being one of the larger lakes of the Armenian Highland. It resides in a mountainous region, surrounded by mountainous terrain on all sides. At an elevation of 1959 meters above sea level, Tsovak Hyusiso is covered in ice in the winter months.
Nowadays, inside the lake, instead of a deep valley, there is a tectonic valley as it was closed with a lava bulwark. During the winter, the lake is usually completely frozen, thus turned into ice. There is also trout inside the lake and the river.
