Lake of Water lilies, also known as Urasar Lake, is located in Lori region 1.2 km northeast of the village of Urasar. It is famous for its magical, relaxing atmosphere, which is created thanks to the water lilies that abundantly decorate the water surface.
These beautiful plants grow in stagnant and slow-flowing lakes in Lori region. Previously, there were more of them, but, unfortunately, several lakes dried up as a result of the Spitak earthquake.
Water lilies with white flowers are very rare, and therefore they are included in the Red Data Book of the Republic of Armenia.
