Mount Aragats is a lonely extinct volcano and the highest peak in Armenia. Mount Aragats is a majestic natural monument with four peaks – Northern – 4090.1 meters, Western – 3995.3 m, Eastern – 3908.2 meters, Southern – 3887.8 meters. Ascent to the Northern Summit of Aragats can be performed from the two sides: Lake Kari and Gegharot waterfall.
The ascent from the Gegharot waterfall is comparatively easy. In the morning, we will move from Yerevan to the village of Aragats and reach a height of 2900 m on jeeps. After that, we will start our hike to the Northern Summit of Aragats. We will climb above the Gegharot waterfall and reach the top through the Northeast saddle.
