Shirak Mountains
Length: 47 km
Highest summit: Mount Tsulasar (2,556 m)
The Shirak Mountain Range extends across Lori and Shirak provinces, starting from Akhuryan Gorge and heading eastward towards Mount Tchotchnasar. From this point, the range moves south-eastwards to the confluence of the Pambak and Cpahichkan rivers. It serves as a watershed between the Pambak River and its left tributary, the Chichkan.
Mount Tsulasar
Mount Tsulasar is located on the border of Lori and Shirak provinces, 3 km to the south of Kakavasar village. The left tributary (Topar) of the Chichkan River flows from the western slopes of Mount Tsulasar, the Ayladzor River begins from the southern slope, and the left tributary (Lusaghbyur) of the Pambak River emerges from the southeastern slope. A group of springs, including the Hovtun Springs, are located on the northern slope Tsulasar, while the Katnaghbyur Spring is located on the northeastern slope. The southern slopes of Mount Tsulasar are steep, rocky and covered with mixed steppe vegetation, while the lower parts of the northern slopes are covered with shrubs and bushes.
