The Karmir Tev Ridge, the western extension of the Tsaghkunyats Mountian Range, is located in Aragatsotn Province. It branches off from Mount Khachekisar and extends all the way to the valley of the Hovtnut River, serving as a watershed between the Hovtnut and Sariaru rivers. The slopes that descend on the northern side of the ridge are mostly forested.
Mount Karmir Tev
Mount Karmir Tev stands in Aragatsotn Province, 2.2 km to the northeast of the village of Saralanj. The Sariari tributary of the Kasagh River flows from the northwest slope of the mountain, the slopes of which are largely covered with shrubs and deciduous forests. The lower sections of Karmir Tev’s northern slopes feature forests of oak and hornbeam
