The Tavush Mountain Range is situated in Armenia’s Tavush Province, and extends into Azerbaijan, forming the eastern extension of the Kenats Mountain Range. The Tavush Range begins at Mount Titeghasar in the Kenats Range and extends to the northeast as far as the confluence of the Tavush and Aghnja rivers. The total length of the range is 47 km, 38 km of which lie within the Republic of Armenia. The range serves as a watershed between the Tavush and Aghnja rivers and the Khndzorut tributary of the latter. The southwestern and southeastern slopes of the range are largely wooded.

Mount Metslanj

Mount Metslanj is located in Tavush Province, on the left bank of the Titeghajur River 11 km to the southeast of the village of Itsakar. The slopes of the mountain are covered with meadows and thick forest.
