On October 9 a photo contest took place called “Man In The Mountains”, which was organized by ArmGeo and Armenian Hiking and Mountaineering Federation. The contest was sponsored by Dangerous Height company.
The competition was devoted to the day of the Armenian alpinists. On that day, in 1829 Khachatur Abovyan stepped the highest peak of Armenian Highland, the holy Mount Ararat. And this is already the third year that the federation has been celebrating October 9 as the Day of Armenian Alpinist or Day of Armenian Mountains.
The members of the jury chose 13 participants from 47 applicants.
The first two prizes were awarded by the members of the jury – Suren Stepanyan, Karo Sahakyan, Artur Manucharyan. The third prize was given according to the audience voting. All the people who were present had an opportunity to vote.
The members of the jury gave a special prize to Eduard Danielyan and Azat Adamyan for an interesting idea.
The first prize went to Eduard Stepanyan for his photo named “Gutanasar”.

The second prize went to Nerses Matinyan for his photo named “Aragats”.
Photo “ Hatis” is on the third place, photographer – Vahagn Aleksanyan.
A photo called “Hunot Gorge” by Eduard Danielyan, was awarded with a special prize.
