Mount Kamar is one of the highest peaks of the Pambak Mountain Range. The height is 2738 m. Mount Kamar is located in the Aragatsotn region, 3 km north-west of Sipan village.
Sipan was founded in the 1870s. The village is situated on the southern slopes of Pambak Mountain Range. It is located at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level. In the old days the village was called Tamb, Pamb, Pambak.
At different times, different ethnic groups lived in this village. Now the village is inhabited by Kurds (Yazidis) who moved here from Western Armenia.
There is a Christian sanctuary and a cross at the top of Mount Kamar.
