If you want to make an unforgettable hike in the mountains of Armenia, then climbing Armaghan is an excellent choice. Armaghan is an extinct volcano, which is located in the plateau of Argich, at an altitude of 2829 m above sea level. It has a beautiful crater lake. This nameless lake is like a plate, on which the sky is reflected. From the top you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Gegharkunik region and the pearl of Armenia – Lake Sevan.
We will start our horseback ride from a place called Nshkhark, where the instructor with horses will meet us.
After getting acquainted with the horses, we will have a short practical lesson, after which we will start climbing Armaghan. Our road passes through Argichi plateau which is a perfect place for horseriding. We will cross the bridge on Argichi River and continue climbing Armaghan.
During our horse riding tour, we will pass through beautiful alpine meadows. The ascent would last from 1 to 1,5 hour. On the summit, we will have time for taking photos, having lunch and just enjoying the moment.
Then we will ride down to the highway from where our bus will take us to Yerevan.
