Day 2: The ascent of Mount Khustup

We start ascent the mountain after leaving the village of Bagaburj in the morning. First, we take off-road vehicles to the height of 2000 meters, from where we begin our hiking trip. The ascent itself takes 5-6 hours. From the top there is a view of the Voghjii gorge and the city of Kapan, the Zangezur mountains, Meghri and Bargushat.

Since ancient times, Mount Khustup has been a place of pilgrimage. Among local people it is called a “hermit mountain”. Now iit attracts all mountain lovers with its magnificent view. Here, among the ancient and majestic rocks that are admired even by experienced travelers, you will find peace in your heart. Day 3: Khndzoresk, Shaki Waterfall

After leaving Bagaburj in the morning we head to the village of Old Khndzoresk, which is famous for its cave houses and a suspension bridge 160 meters long. Khndzoresk is a mountain settlement whose inhabitants literally cut down their houses in solid stone. The population of Khndzoresk was relocated to a new place in the 1950’s and the village turned into an object of tourist attention.

We also invite you to admire the view of the Shaki Waterfall, which is considered to be the pearl of Armenia.
