This track starts from Parz lake and finishes in Gosh village. The trail goes through thick forests of Dilijan National Park. You can see khachqars (cross – stones) on your way from the lake to the village. After passing over several little rivers you will reach a wide meadow, where you can enjoy the wonderful view of Ijevan Mountain Range.
Goshavank Monastery
From the meadow the way leads you to the village Gosh, birthplace of Mkhitar Gosh. From the top of the village you can clearly see Goshavank monastery. Goshavank (Nor Getik Monastery) got its name in 1213, after Mkhitar Gosh, who founded the monastery in 1188, with the support of the Lords Ivane and Zaqare. It used to have a college, a university and a seminary. Many manuscripts were written, rewritten and kept here.
After exploring Gosh village we will return to Yerevan.
