At the beginning of the day, we’ll pick you up and move to one of famous caves in Armenia, Areni 1, which is also known as “Bird Cave”. In 2010, there was discovered the world’s oldest shoe. And in January 2011, also discovered the world’s first winery.
After that, we’ll continue our way to the cave. The air temperature inside the cave is 8-10 C all year long. The duration of the tour. depending on the number of participants varies between 1 hour 30 minutes and 3 hours 30 minutes.
Then, we’ll leave the cave for a medieval Armenian monastery Noravank, which is outstanding with both its architecture and the surrounding marvelous scenery. It is believed that in the place of the monastery there used to be a sacred site. And later in the 12th century the monastery was built in the territory of two earlier churches.
People suffering from claustrophobia, asthma, epilepsy, and other life-threatening health issues in confined spaces are not allowed to participate.
The participants should have:
- Comfortable sporty clothes (can get dirty or torn)
- Sports or military footwear
- Extra clothes and shoes
