The seminar “Armenian Highland” for tourism industry took place at Centre of Popular Creation on March 7th, 2017. It was conducted by Tigran Shahbazyan, a founder of Armenian Geographic Project and a board member of Armenian Hiking and Mountaineering Federation. The Armenian highland was introduced from physical geographical point of view. The main goal of this seminar was to inform people about the location and boundaries of the Armenian Highland, also to draw attention to the term “Armenian Highland” as an internationally accepted term, to present the highest point of the Armenian highland, to clarify the difference between the use of the term Republic of Armenia and Armenian Highland. This seminar was also a good motive for the representatives of cultural and tourism industries to meet each other and develop future cooperation programs.
At the end of the seminar all participants shared with us their offers concerning the areal peculiarities of folk art in written form, which they would like to discuss in future.
Special thanks to the Centre of Popular Creation, especially to Nane Bagratuni, for hosting us in the Armenian vivid atmosphere.
